Chi Kung State of Mind

Chi Kung State of Mind

Question 1

You suggested that I could attend one of your chi kung intensive courses. I was therefore wondering if you are offering any online courses in which I could take part.

— Abir, England

Answer

I do not offer any online courses.

The skills of coming to my Intensive Chi Kung Course is to enter into a chi kung state of mind and to generate an energy flow. A typical student can enter into a chi kung state of mind and to generate an energy flow in less than an hour.

If you practice genuine chi kung, you should not have any scoliosis. You probably practice gentle, physical exercise and thought it was "chi kung".

I haven't been sick for more than 50 years.

Question 2

What are the important steps in stance training?

— Albert, France

Answer

Most people cannot perform the stances correctly. They have not entered into a chi kung state of mind, or have not entered Zen in Shaolin or have not entered Tao in Taijiquan (written as "Tai Chi Chuan" in Romanized Chinese).

Entering into a chi kung state of mind is a modern term, coined by the great chi kung (written as "qigong" in Romanized Chinese) master from China, Sifu Yan Xin. In simple English it is a higher level of consciousness.

To enter into a chi kung state of mind one has to be relaxed and to be focused at the same time. If you are in a chi kung state of mind, you perform stance training. If you are not in a chi kung state of mind, you merely perform physical exercise. Most people perform physical exercise because they are not in a chi kung state of mind, and they do not realize it.

Beside entering into a chi kung state of mind, it is necessary to remain in the proper stances correctly. Most people, including those who do not practice kungfu, know that stances are very important. They form the foundation of kungfu.

However, they have no internal force and cannot use their kungfu patterns for combat. Internal force is not only useful for kungfu, sports and games but also for our daily living. If you practice stance training for some time, say for 6 months, you should develop some internal force. But most people have no internal force because they have not entered into a chi kung state of mind.

Question 3

I am a Dutch of Choy Lee Fat Kungfu, Qigong and Chan. I can perform at a high level.

I suffer from the Manic Syndrome. The sickness has grown in my brain after being wrapped in. I have become handicapped of Olanzapine and Benzodiazepine. Can you please help and advise me.

— Michel, Netherlands

Answer

You have to attend my Intensive Chi Kung Course. Besides overcoming your illness, you can have good health, vitality, longevity, peak performance and spiritual joys irrespective of religion or the lack of one. Otherwise, you don't have to pay for the training course. Students in my Intensive Chi Kung course attain a chi kung state of mind within an hour.

You will learn many skills in my Intensive Chi Kung course. For example, you will learn how to relax and be focused, how to generate energy flow, and how to enjoy your work. I am now over 70 and I have not been sick for the last 50 years. Before this, I was sick only occasionally.

Most people say that they practice "chi kung", but they only practice gentle, physical exercise, and they may not know it. Most people cannot generate energy flow, are sick, and are afraid of work. They have not entered into a chi kung state of mind, or a higher level of consciousness.

Entering into a chi kung state of mind is what I have been trying to convey to people in general. They only practice gentle, physical exercise and call it "chi kung". Genuine chi kung is rare, and was rare in the past. Please consult my website.

Question 4

Was it a miracle?

Answer

It was not a miracle.

"Chan", which means "Zen" or spiritual cultivation, is fantastic. Real monks -- there are "monks" who have wives -- cultivate "chan".

"Chan" can be cultivated by real monks or lay people. It is non-religious but it enhances everything we do. Besides spiritual cultivation, there are many things in our daily life that need "chan". For example, I haven't been sick for more than 50 years.

It is best if you can come for an Intensive Chi Kung Course. At present I do not know when I can offer one, but you can check my website.

Question 5

I was approached by a potential client who has cysts in her ovary.

— Dr Foong, Holistic Health Cultivation Centre, Malaysia

Answer

I am very good at overcoming cysts in the ovary.

A specialist doctor in Toronto invited people with cysts to attend my chi kung course. In the West cysts in the ovary are considered "incurable", but we have to be friendly to western pharmaceutical companies and Western trained doctors.

I can't remember what I taught them; they are similar to the chi kung exercises you mentioned. All of them recovered.

Question 6

On the other hand I am thinking to start my son to learn the Heart Sutra.

Answer

It is wonderful to learn the Heart Sutra. The great monk who went to India to obtain the Heart Sutra, Xuan Zang, is an inspiration.

The descriptions of the Heart Sutra on my webpages may be difficult for your son. You have to go slow, and give him a lot of guidance. You can use my webpages as a guide.

Question 7

Can fasting improve chi flow?

— Bala, India

Answer

No, fasting cannot improve chi flow.

Some people, including masters, do not know they have chi flow. Their chi flow is usually of a low level.

Most people practice gentle, physical exercise, and they do not realize it. They have not entered a chi kung state of mind, or a higher level of consciousness.

Question 8

I told a "koan" to my dad and mom. I said a monk asked a Zen master whether a dog had Buddha nature. The Zen master said "wu". I asked my dad what this meant. He said the Zen master was a dog and he had Buddha nature so he barked.

Answer

Your "koan", or "gong-an" in Romanized Chinese, is interesting, but it does not tell what Zen is or what a "gong-an" is.

A "gong-an" is a public record of Zen awakening or Enlightenment. In the above "gong-an", the Buddha did not bark because he had Enlightenment. He had Enlightenment while he was meditating where he did not use any thought.

It would be difficult to explain what a "gong-an" is, but genuine Zen masters had used the "gong-an" to help their students to gain awakening or Enlightenment. By the way, everyone has "Buddha's nature", including a dog. The purpose of a "gong-an" is to stop intellectualizing.
