Beng Quan, or Crushing Fist
The five elemental fists of thrust palm, spiral fist, crushing fist, cannon fist and horizontal chop together with some supplementary patterns are linked together to form a set called Xingyi Five Elemental Continuous Fist, or Xing Yi Wu Xing Lian Huan Quan in Chinese.
A special feature of the set is a series of chasing footwork for pressing attack. The uninitiated may think that a practitioner employing this set bulldoze into an opponent. Effective coverage is incorporated into the pressing attack, manifesting the important principle of safety first.
