MOVING IN TO INITIATE AN ATTACK

Shaolin Kungfu

Moving in from left to right mode to attack

Course participants learn how to move in effectively to initiate an attack. Depending on the space between you and your opponent, you use the appropriate number of steps to move in. The final step is important. It is where you guard against your opponent's surprised counters.

Reversely, before his final step you need not worry how your opponent moves in. He may make a lot of noise or aggressive actions, but (unless he uses weapons, including secret weapons) the attack really occurs only after he has made his final step. The flower hand is introduced.
