SHAOLIN KUNGFU SET -- DRAGON IN ZEN

Today many kungfu practitioners merely learn kungfu sets. If they have to spar, they borrow techniques from other martial arts like Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Mixed Martial Arts and other systems.

That was not how kungfu was practiced in the past. In all kungfu practice in the past, there were two pillars of kungfu training, namely developing internal force and combat application. That is also what constitutes our programme. Internal force is developed through stance training. Remember that stance training is a process of relaxation, not endurance.

Set practice, however, is also important. It marks the summation of developing internal force and combat application. The selected set, which includes all important patterns of Shaolin Kungfu, is called "Dragon in Zen".
