DEFENCE AGAINST ANY KICK!

Wouldn't it be wonderful if there is a pattern you can use against any kick? Actually there are a few such patterns in Shaolin Kungfu. One good example is "Tame Tiger with String of Beads".

Practice this pattern on both sides, and then ask a partner to kick you. He may use any kick, though a side kick, "Happy Bird Hops up Branch", is shown in this video. Start with Level 1 and progress to Level 3. Practice daily for at least a month, by the end of which you can defend against any kick!

Some common kicks in Southern Shaolin Kungfu are shown in the video. If you wish to use kicks in combat, you should practice these kicks on both sides for at least another month.
