Not reaching an opponent in an attack is a common mistake many students make


Correct spacing and correct timing are very important skills in combat training. Even if you have good techniques but if your spacing and timing are poor, your techniques become ineffective. You should therefore spend some time on the training of correct spacing and correct timing. Many martial artists do not have systematic training in these two important skills; they only hope that their spacing and timing would improve with more free sparring.
