JUST MOVE A STEP BACK TO NEUTRALIZE A SEEMINGLY HELPLESS SITUATION
A master may give you a surprised reversal just when you think you have him under control
What could you do when your hands are trapped and your opponent attacks you at the same time? It looks like a helpless situation. But you can overcome it quite easily – if you know how. Just move a step back! The same principle applies in real life too. When situations seem helpless, just move a step back. On the other hand, if you wish to apply pressing attacks on your opponent, and he moves back, you bridge the gaps swiftly. These skills and techniques are found in Combat Sequence 7.
