CONTINUING FROM FIRST TO SECOND SEQUENCE

Shaolin Kungfu

Covering your opponent while changing step is important

Another important step in our sparring methodology that helps our students progress from pre-arranged sparring to free sparring is continuation. After the first sequence which he can choose freely from the four basic sequences, he continues to the second sequence, which he can also choose freely from the four sequences. It may be necessary to make a footwork adjustment and to bridge gap. Later, the responder instead of the initiator may continue from the first to the second sequence.
