Wahnam Taijiquan
Differentiating yin-yang is very important while moving about

Having learn how to move forward and backward using good Taijiquan footwork principles, we proceed to learning to move in different directions. There is much profundity in changing directions which gives us many advantages in combat.

The various ways to move from one direction to another can be classified into five factors as follows:

  1. left-right leg mode
  2. eight directions
  3. front, mid, end points of reference
  4. yin, yang, straight leg approach
  5. clockwise-anticlockwise turning
