VIEDO CLIPS FOR UK SUMMER CAMP 2007

Tantui Sequence 1

”Tantui

It doesn't matter whether your opponent uses Northern Shaolin, Southern Shaolin, Taijiquan, Baguazhang, Hsing Yi, Hoong Ka, Wing Choon, Choy-Li-Fatt, Eagle Claw, Praying Mantis, Karate, Taekwondo, Western Boxing, Kick Boxing, Muay Thai or any other martial art, and whether he is attacking you or defending against your attack with whatever techniques, by applying just this sequence on him, you can press him to a wall! Is this possible? If so, how? Think about it to see if you can come out with an answer.

Better still, find out from direct experience by attending Grandmaster Wong's "Introduction to Kung Fu Internal Force and Combat Application" at the UK Summer Camp 2007 from 12th to 15th July, where the instructional material will be from Northern Shaolin Kungfu. For details, please see UK Summer Camp 2007 or contact Sifu Marcus Santer

Should you wonder whether they could be effective in real fighting, it is significant to point out that Tyler just won a gold medal in a full contact sparring competition.

Here Tyler applies Tantui against a Kick-Boxer posed by Carlos. Carlos' kicks are quite forceful, but Tyler neutralizes their effectiveness by pressing in. Grandmaster Wong says that as most martial artists today, irrespective of their styles, usually fight like Boxers or Kick-Boxers, if you can spar against Boxers and Kick-Boxers, you can spar against most martial artists.
