COMBAT SEQUENCE 20 -- UPWARD SWEEP

Felling an opponent does not disable him from further fighting, unless his head is damaged, bones broken, or joints dislocated during the fall. You need to follow up with a combat-ending strike.

If you are fallen on the ground, an effective way to prevent your opponent executing a combat-ending strike is an "upward-sweep", represented here by the pattern "Carp Hits Boat".
