CRUSHING FIST OF PRAYING MANTIS KUNGFU 2017
螳螂崩步拳

When I was learning kungfu in Uncle Righteousness' school, I went round asking for free sparring with other kungfu practitioners and other martial artists. I was talking with a sidai, or junior classmate, but he was much older than me, who started learning Praying Mantis Kungfu from another school.

He told me a formidable pattern in Praying Mantis kungfu called "Riding Tiger Slanting Punch", which was a typical attack in this kungfu style, but most people may not know its application. He explained to me its application, which was amazing. It was similar to, but not the same as, "Punch Below Sleeves" in Taijiquan. I asked him for free sparring, but he declined.

So I bought some Praying Mantis Kungfu books to study. Crushing Fist, which was popular, was the first Praying Mantis Kungfu set I learned.
